Students in 3rd grade Design Lab made snowflakes today using symmetry and different design materials. Each snowflake was an original and captured on SeeSaw like Wilson Bentley, “Snowflake Bentley” did with high end photography. And like the temporary nature of snow crystals, they disassembled their creations when they finished.
We finished up Take Apart Lab with our 2nd grade students. So much was discovered on both the external and internal parts of the devices. The students will never look at electronic devices in the same way. Thank you to all the parents who came to support. We had so many volunteers we had two adults per table at times.
There is a great STEM extracurricular program for students in the area. The Noah Webster Library in West Hartford has some free sessions and there are Lego programs at Elmwood Community Church. Visit https://www.snapology.com/ for more information.
