NGSS – Unit One: Beavers Engineers of the Natural World
Throughout this unit, students explore the natural processes of weathering and erosion at the hands of beavers other natural phenomena including water and wind. Students will investigate these events through the lense of both quick and slow change. Throughout the sequences, students will gain an understanding of how landforms and water features change as a result of beavers (water) and wind.

STEM Special: Science in Your Shopping Cart
At the end of this unit, students will understand that people, including families living in different parts of the world need nutritious food and lots of exercise to keep their bodies healthy and strong. Students will have the opportunity to analyze the food they choose to put in their shopping carts and be able to trace the path of these foods from the source to the table.
