A team of engineers were curious to see what happened when the electrical connections were switched. By experimenting they found out how to make their car go in reverse!

Inclined Planes, Variables and Predictions in PreK
Mrs. Lynch’s class explored new ideas in Design Lab today. What looked like playing with cars was actually exploring inclined planes, variables and predictions. Students experimented with cars on ramps and made predictions on what would happen if the ramp was raised with extra blocks.
Discovery Invention Convention is Here!
Tomorrow, March 23rd, our young engineers get to show off their problem solving with creative engineered inventions. Families are welcome to come and see their amazing work.

A Blow-dryer in Design Lab?
Outside my office I heard a blow-dryer and cheering and had to check it out. Students in Kindergarten have been learning about weather in their classrooms. They learned about anemometers, a weather tool that measures the speed of wind, and today they got to test out their models. The World Needs More Bridges
Our first graders were busy today building bridges in Design Lab. They were focusing structure, stability and strength. Engineering blue prints were used to select the materials and testing will take place with adding weights.
Robotics in Kindergarten
In Design Lab, kindergartners had fun using coding directions and sequencing to make Blue Bots navigate grids.
