If you ask Discovery third graders they will say YES! On Tuesday, students came to the lab to start the Matter Unit and explore crystals.

In this unit: “Students learn how to test the properties of everything under the sun!  Students will engage in a variety of inquiry-based activities to explore the sun’s effect on the properties of water.  Students will experiment and collect evidence to describe the physical properties that are unique to certain materials.  Students will assume the role of consumer scientists as they use their findings to analyze and identify unknown, mystery materials.”
