We had our first Take Apart Lab today. The students did backwards engineering and explored the external and internal parts of electronic equipment.
Mr. Formica made the following observations:

– The students were willing to listen to instructions and recorded what needed to be recorded.
– They remained safe and showed above average mechanical skills in using the tools.
– There was team effort as they helped one another record observations and answer questions.
– They were actively engaged the whole period and were proud of their accomplishments.
– They experienced engineering in action.
