Intensive Education Academy students in West Hartford heard about Discovery’s rooftop garden and decided to donate a birdhouse and a book they wrote. Third graders accepted the gifts and found the perfect location for our new birdhouse.
The garden is thriving and students thinned the sprouts and found our first produce. The pea plants in the first grade beds are starting to produce pea pods!
